Foxford, or Beal Easa (ford mouth of the waterfall), was founded by an Irish Sister of Charity in 1892. It is situated on the River Moy in County Mayo and overlooked by the Ox Mountains to the north-east. Foxford Mills has a long history of producing Irish woven woolen products from famine times right up until today, and is now one of the last working mills in Ireland.
Foxford’s craftspeople continue to design and manufacture beautiful pieces that are treasured across the world, from their more traditional styles such as the Foxford Classic Red Check Blankets to the more contemporary feel such as the Foxford Lambswool White Grey Windowpane Blanket.
It's no wonder that Foxford continues to be a thriving mill and stand the test of time with such high end quality products being produced showing skilled craftsmanship and beautiful designs.
