Waterford Crystal was first established in 1783 in the heart of the Irish harbour town of Waterford. Its founders were two brothers, William and George Penrose, who had a vision to “create the finest quality crystal for drinking vessels and objects of beauty for the home.” More than two hundred years later, the reputation they established for creating glass of unsurpassed beauty and quality has remained.
The most popular pattern of Waterford Crystal is the classic and timeless Lismore pattern. The inspiration for the Lismore collection, which is now over 60 years in existence, was the gothic architecture of the 800-year-old Lismore Castle in County Waterford, Ireland. Here at the Irish Store we have a range from the Lismore collection including the Waterford Crystal Pitcher; the Cake Plate and the Biscuit Barrel.
