Celtic designs are rich in history and folklore from ancient Ireland, with many of the designs in our Irish jewelry collection having their roots from the Book of Kells. The Celts often used swirls (to represent the warmth of the sun) and knots (to represent eternal love) in their designs.
These are evident in many of our jewelry pieces, but particularly in our brooches, such as the Newbridge Rose Brooch, a modern twist on the Celtic swirl, or the Celtic Sterling Silver Tie Pin, handcrafted in Ireland and hallmarked in Dublin Castle.
For an even more authentic Irish style, look through our bronze collection. Bronze started a new Age in Ireland in or around the time 2000 BC. Once copper was alloyed with tin, true Bronze artifacts were produced. Originally used for tools and weapons, the Celts went on to use bronze in the making of their jewelry.
Here at the Irish store we have stunning bronze pieces such as the Celtic Irish Bronze Brooch or the Bronze Cross brooch featuring green agate stone, these will be stunning historic adds to your collection.
