Behind The Scenes at our Fall/Winter 22 Photo Shoot.

Hi everyone. Well, it’s been a very busy time here at The Irish Store putting the finishing touches to our most exciting collection to date. Our Fall/Winter 22 Collection drops very soon and we are so excited to share it with you! Expect new must-have Aran styles, some 5 star favorites in exciting new season colors and a very special collection of premium designer pieces. Ahead of our launch, here’s a behind the scenes sneak peek from our Fall/Winter 22 photo shoot!

Fall/Winter 22. The Collection

The Location

This year, for the first time, our photo shoot took place in the stunning Connemara region in the west of Ireland. This part of Ireland is famed for its dramatic scenery. Our shoot took place in Killary Harbour near the picturesque village of Leenane. Killary is one of only three glacial fjords in Ireland and the landscape here is truly awe-inspiring with the Maumturk Mountains providing the most dramatic of backdrops to showcase our Fall/Winter 22 Collection.

The Photographer

Yet again, we’re delighted to be working with renowned Irish photographer Barry Mc Call. One of Ireland’s most established photographers, his stunning fashion work speaks for itself and he has worked with many Hollywood and fashion luminaries including Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Liam Neeson and Colin Farrell to name but a few.

Fall/Winter 22. The Collection. Sneak Peek.

Time to feast your eyes on some stunning new pieces! I’ve chosen some of my favorites from The Mc Connell Collection which forms the centerpiece of our Fall/Winter 22 collection. These premium designer Irish knitwear pieces come from the renowned Mc Connell Woollen Mills and I am so excited to share them with you. Designed, created and hand finished in Killaloe, County Clare on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.

1. The Rossbeigh Roll Neck Sweater

Beautifully crafted in a luxurious merino/alpaca flecked yarn in an irresistible color palette inspired by the surrounding landscape on Ireland’s legendary Wild Atlantic Way.

2. The Fermoy Aran Sweater

Take your Aran look to whole new level with this stunning new take on the classic Aran sweater. The traditional Aran stitch work is exquisitely crafted and the pure wool yarn makes it luxuriously soft and cozy.

3. The Beara Breton Stripe Sweater

The iconic Breton stripe gets a a classic Celtic contemporary makeover here. Featuring smart ribbed cuffs, waistband and a high turtleneck.

4. The Mizen Aran Sweater

Another must-have Aran sweater from the Mc Connell Collection. The perfect combination of timeless Aran craft and contemporary design.

5. The Skibereen Crew Neck Sweater

Designed and hand-finished in County Clare, this beautiful sweater is crafted from the finest pure wool flecked yarn with a striking contrasting stripe.
