Hi Everyone. I’m so delighted this week to bring you behind the scenes at our Winter Collection photo shoot ahead of our official launch next week! I just can’t wait to share our biggest and most exciting collection to date-only one more week to go! In the meantime, take a look at our behind the scenes video in our stunning County Wicklow location.
The Location
As mentioned, this years shoot takes place in The Garden of Ireland, County Wicklow. Our secluded 17th century riverside cottage location takes us into the heart of this lush rolling countryside with the Wicklow Mountains providing the perfect backdrop.
I also must introduce you to Finbarr the fox who I’m sure you spotted in the video. He quickly became The Irish Store photo shoot mascot!

The Photographer
Once again we are truly thrilled to be working with the hugely talented and much sought after Barry Mc Call, one of Ireland’s most celebrated photographers. He has photographed Hollywood stars such as Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell and Gabriel Byrne to name but a few as well as host of supermodels including Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell and Helena Christensen.

Winter Collection. Sneak Preview!
And now for an exclusive sneak preview! I don’t mind telling you it was tough to choose just 3 pieces from such an irresistible collection but here goes!
1. The Moher Aran Cardigan
The fit is loose and relaxed in the classic boyfriend style. For me, what really sets it apart is the beautifully crafted basket and cable stitch pattern which continues to the edges to give a soft scalloped finish. I also love the wooden buttons. It comes in classic cream or a beautiful forest green.
2. The O’Connell Aran Sweater
My next pick is for him and it’s a real winner. When Chris Evans wore an Aran sweater in the movie “Knives Out” last year, one of our favorite exports hit the headlines once more. Chris is just one in a long line of celebrity fans of the Aran and the O’Connell Aran is our tribute to the timeless Aran look for him. Featuring beautifully crafted Aran stitch patterns in soft merino wool.
3. The Nephin Aran Sweater
How gorgeous is the Nephin Aran sweater! It beautifully combines exquisitely crafted traditional Aran stitch patterns with a loose over-sized fit for a totally modern look. Super comfy, super stylish and perfect with jeans and boots. And who could resist those colors?
