The Irish Store launches pilot episode of TISTV ahead of US cable launch

TheIrishStore.com, today announces the launch of TISTV – a home shopping channel showcasing the very best in Irish clothing, Irish jewelry and homeware. A one-hour pilot episode is being made available online today, with a full channel launching on North American cable networks later in the year.

Viewers in the USA and Canada will be able to purchase items featured on the channel on TheIrishStore.com or on a free phone number 24 hours a day.

Lulu O’Sullivan, founder of TheIrishStore.com says this was an obvious next step in the company’s communications strategy “Our customers have been clear, they have told us they love the photos, descriptions and videos on our website – but they would like more – more details, more video content, and more product information. So we have answered their wishes with TISTV!”

Lulu, one of Ireland’s leading female entrepreneurs, continues “TISTV lets the people behind The Irish Store tell their stories. In this pilot episode, you can see everyone from the potter in Fermanagh to the pewter maker in Mullingar showing how they craft their goods, and our two lovely hosts Sue and Ciara discuss each featured product in detail.”

This one hour pilot is launched just ahead of Saint Patrick’s Day on March 17th. Lulu adds “First we wanted to test the concept with this pilot. From this, we will refine the idea before we go into full-time production later on in the year – feedback from the worldwide Irish community would be greatly appreciated!”

TheIrishStore.com is finalising deals with networks in the USA and Canada and is set to launch a full-time channel on October 1st.
