Although the origins of the Trinity Knot can be traced back to pagan times it later was used in ancient Celtic Art and religious manuscripts such as the Book of Kells. In modern times it has become synonymous to Christians as the symbol of the Holy Trinity (Father, Son & Holy Spirit). Along with the Claddagh it is a hugely popular design in modern Irish Jewellery.
