Iconic Irish Must-Sees
Time to get into the wanderlust mood and take a whistle-stop tour of some of Ireland’s most iconic places. Where would you go on your dream trip to Ireland?
1. Cliffs of Moher, County Clare
One of Ireland’s most popular attractions, the Cliffs of Moher are a definite must-see on any trip to Ireland. They rise from the southwestern edge of the Burren and rise over 8 km along the edge of the Atlantic to their highest point at 214 meters at their midpoint at O’Briens’s tower. Simply awesome!
2. Giant’s Causeway, County Antrim
Time to head up north now to the jewel in the crown of the stunning county of.Antrim. The Giant’s Causeway is made up of of 40,000 unbelievably uniform basalt columns. The formation was caused by an ancient volcanic eruption.
3. Newgrange, County Meath
Built around 5200 years ago, the Stone Age passage tomb at Newgrange predates the Pyramids and Stonehenge by some 500 years and features some incredible examples of megalithic art.
4. MacGillycuddy’s Reeks, County Kerry
No trip to Ireland would be complete without a trip to the Kingdom of Kerry. This stunning mountain range consists of some 27 peaks, including Ireland’s highest mountain, Carantoohil.
