Hi Everyone and a very Happy St. Patrick’s Day from The Irish Store Family!
I hope you and yours are enjoying the day in your own special way with your loved ones and looking forward to gathering safely next year and having the biggest celebration ever! As I said, it was so heartwarming to receive your pics of St. Patrick’s Days past. In keeping with that spirit, I asked the team at The Irish Store to delve into their photo collections for some of their favorite memories of St. Patrick’s Day. Enjoy!
St. Patrick’s Day Memories
1. Diletta- Buyer & Merchandiser
Diletta recalls a favorite St. Patrick’s Day back in 2013. “When I think about St Patrick‘s Day I think about the day in this pic. That’s Paddy’s day 2013. The one to my left is a guy I had met 3 months earlier and I was only getting to know at the time… he’s now Nora’s dad 😊. To my right is our matchmaker, Helene!” Nora is their beautiful one year old daughter.
2. Rod – Logistics and Project Manager
Rod shares some gorgeous pics of his children, Robyn, Zak and Mia getting ready to attend their local parade in years gone by. ” Happy memories of my kids on Paddy’s morning getting ready to take part in the local Dundalk parade. My son with the rugby club and my daughters with the local dance school and Irish Dance school.”
3. Mark- Senior Graphic Designer
Our senior graphic designer Mark shares a brand new St. Patrick’s Day memory! Meet 3 month old Elliot who’s enjoying his very first St. Patrick’s Day snuggling into his brand new Baby Shamrock Blanket from The Irish Store. I think he likes it! So adorable.
5. Fiona-Digital Designer
Fiona celebrates her birthday on March 16th-Happy Birthday Fiona! The above pic is of Fiona and her sister Emer on her 4th birthday “When I was a child we had the party on the 17th because we were off school. Always had the sponge cake on St pats for my birthday. Now that I’m older I make a 2 day celebration out of it!”
The pic below is of Fiona and one of our stars of customer service, Olwyn celebrating Fiona’s birthday in pre-lockdown times. The cake comes courtesy of Olwyn who also happens to be a supremely talented baker! I have a feeling Fiona’s going to throw one hell of a party next year!
St. Patrick’s Day, Grange, Sligo, 2017
My own St.Patrick’s Day memory is from 2017 in the small village of Grange in County Sligo. As you can see, in typical Irish fashion, the heavens opened and it rained for the whole day! What I loved about this particular St. Patrick’s Day was that in spite of the rain, people still came out to attend the small but perfectly formed parade refusing to let their spirits be dampened by the weather. Suffice to say the parade moved quite quickly and we all adjourned to Langs pub afterwards where the craic was ninety! Looking forward to a visit there hopefully very soon. Here’s me with my Guinness in desperate need of a hairdryer !
Thanks for dropping by and Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all!
Take care of yourselves and each other,
Slán go fóill!
Lulu.

Love your messages and information and photos of Ireland. My great grandfather, John O’Shaughnessy was from Galway. I have been lucky enough to visit three times, once with my grown son.
Keep up the wonderful work, meanwhile I enjoy all my sweaters!

I love that you send out such a heartfelt message for St. Patrick’s Day to your customers. I was lucky enough to visit Ireland in 2003. A birthday present from my brother.
Everything I have purchased from you has been both quality and timely. I can’t believe that some things I have ordered arrived within days and I live in Syracuse, NY. Great job Lulu and I will continue ordering.
HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY !
Hi Trisha,

Happy St Patrick’s Day from Italy😄
Thanks so much Antonella. Hope you a good one!
Kind regards,

I absolutely LOVE the Irish Store! From the aryan sweaters for my grandchildren to the graphic name signs to the outstanding customer service (particularly Olwyn who has gone out of her way to be the best model of customer service I could possibly use (I am a consultant and do some training and customer service is one). Matthew also did a followup which I greatly appreciate. It is apparent that your culture is family. My mother is a Casey and my great-grandmother was Isabelle and I am Patricia Isabelle (4th generation) and now we have a granddaughter, Isabelle so it will carry on. Just as the legacy you are building of quality, timeliness, pricing and sales (which I love) and – most important – customer service! Stay well – I watch ST. Peter and Paul every morning in Portlaoise, Ireland and it gives us a warmth for the amazing people of Ireland!!!!
Hi Patricia,
What lovely feedback to receive! Hearing this just makes everything we do so worthwhile. I’m so glad you’ve had such a great experience with The Irish Store, especially with our stars of customer service. We’re so lucky to have people like Olwyn and Matthew on the team who always go that extra mile.
Thank you so much for this Patricia,
Stay safe and well,
Kind regards,
Lulu
