Hi everyone. Welcome to the next stop on my Meet the Makers roadtrip. After a wonderful visit with Rosaleen at Crann Knits, it was to the time to head south to Donegals’ Rosguill Peninsula to meet William Mc Nutt at their mill overlooking the magnificent Downings Beach.
Mc Nutt of Donegal
The mill was established by William’s father in 1950 with just two looms in the original weaving shed which now houses their beautiful shop and visitor experience. For 70 years they have been producing some of the worlds finest quality weaves with luxurious woolen yarns, continuing an age-old Irish craft tradition. Their range is simply stunning. Time to introduce you to William and the story behind Mc Nutt of Donegal.
